The last hit of Metal Hero's neutral grounded melee causes a shock-wave that travels across the ground in a straight line until hitting an obstacle. This shock-wave will penetrate Borgs.

Analysis/Strategy[]

With a cost of 380 points and a base HP of 200, Metal Hero does not make a good first impression compared to other cheaper and seemingly more durable melee centered Borgs such as various Samurai and Ninja Borgs. However, his transformation changes him into one of the best melee borgs you could ask for. His gaining of two jumps and large increase in speed and power aid him greatly, as does the fact that his transformation never goes away unless hit with an extremely powerful attack, with lasers being the ones that most commonly do so. The changes to his moves are also just as great a boon to him as ones to his stats: his sword attacks while on the ground do solid damage, and the last hit of the combo does tremendous damage as well as hitting hard enough to make even large Machine Borgs flinch. His aerial attacks are also greatly improved, giving him great approaching power and, when used with his four jumps, allows great versatility in combos and a solid air game against Borgs that stay in the air a lot.

Using this Borg[]

Fighting this Borg[]

Though his melee game may be excellent on all fronts, he suffers from having no range aside from the shockwave created by the final hit of his combo, and none of his attacks have high flinching power aside from that last hit. These facts make him vulnerable to both ranged Borgs that are fast enough to stay away and plink at him until he dies, like Cyber Ninja, and larger borgs that have a resistance to flinching, such as the more powerful Machine Borgs, which can ignore everything he throws at them save for that last hit and use his Super Armor against him to quickly destroy him.
